Movie 5 / 100 He loves me he loves me not (french)

Movie 5/ 100: À la folie... pas du tout (he loves me he loves me not)

A young woman who is in love with a married doctor becomes dangerous when her attempts to persuade him to leave his wife are unsuccessful. However, when things are seen from his point of view, the real situation becomes clear.

I like Audrey Tautou. I mainly picked up the movie for her. When I read the synopsis of the movie it sounded like those billion other movies where the girl is having an affair with the married man, and later develops an obsession with him when he won't leave his wife. I read the reviews and all of them said half way through the movie the story will shock you. I was prepared to be shocked, thinking it really won't shock me. I have seen too many of these movies. I have to say I was wrong. It really was a surprise.

Movie 4/100: The Devil Wears Prada

A naive young woman comes to New York and scores a job as the assistant to one of the city's biggest magazine editors, the ruthless and cynical Miranda Priestly.

I liked this movie. As I said before I really like Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway is one of my favorites, so in order for me to dislike this movie they had to do something really horrible.

The movie was like fashion porn. At some part where Andy gets her makeover and plays around with new designer clothes, shoes and bags I almost wanted to cry out loud because they were so gorgeous.

Although I do have to say the story was sort of bleh. I have seen better movies on the fashion industry. Bollywood's "Fashion" was an excellent one from a rising model's perspective.

3/100 The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

Set during World War II, a story seen through the innocent eyes of Bruno, the eight-year-old son of the commandant at a concentration camp, whose forbidden friendship with a Jewish boy on the other side of the camp fence has startling and unexpected consequences.

Wonderful is a mild word to describe this movie. The movie was so touching and at the end it absolutely broke my heart. This is truly one of the best films I have seen.

Movie 2/100: Timer

The question: If a clock could count down to the moment you meet your soul mate, would you want to know?

I don't know, would I? After pretending to a cynical person for last couple of years I have realized  I desperately want to believe that "one" exists. I don't want to just find a good guy who I can be happy with, I want to find the one. The movie is excellent in my opinion. Having the timer, and knowing the person you like is not the one takes away from valuable life experience. At the same time if you the person you were meant to be with was around you wouldn't you want to know? I would! I really would.

Movie 1/100 Julie and Julia

Movie #1. Julie and Julia

I wondered why it took me so long to watch this movie. I love Meryl Streep and Amy Adams, I love cooking, and I love Paris. It shouldn't have taken me such a long time to get around to watching this movie. However, better late than never. I found the movie delightful.

What do you know? I even tried to poach an egg like Julie afterwards. I did fail, not as miserably as Julie when she first tried it. I will use a bigger pot next time. The movie was truly inspiring. I can't cook like Julie, but I will try to be as motivated about my summer goals.

What is this about

I am not sure if anyone is reading this. This will be my 5th blog. I always start a blog hoping that I will keep up with it. Even if I never get a single reader I tell myself I will keep writing. However, it never works out that way. I always quit after a week. So here I am again, hoping I will not quit this time.

I always make these same summer goals. Lose weight, eat right, get a job and save some money. This summer I have different goals.

I just want to live and learn. I want to be happy.

I want to cook every day.
I want to read everyday
I want to discover new music everyday
I want to watch a movie everyday.

So in this blog I will blog about 100 movies I plan to watch this summer, 100 books I will read this summer and 100 recipes I will try this summer. Of course the last one is a bit hard due to money.

I hope there are some people who would join me for this journey. I usually stray from my path if no one else is around.
